Crestline Spear Racing have fun at Donington

Having seriously upgraded the Kawasaki ZX10 for the new season of Thundersport - The Bike Insurer GP1 series, Crestline Spear Racing were at the first meeting of the season at Donington Park 11th - 13th April. Qualifying saw us reduce our previously best lap time by some 7 seconds per lap, not only due to the bike upgrades through the winter but also by some inspired bravery from our rider, James Boswell - owner of Spear Fabrics. James, having taken 3 huge tumbles at the back end of last season culminating in loss of skin from his forearms and a dislocated shoulder, needed his best metal to get a result from the new bike.

The first race was red flagged twice for accidents to be cleared which hampered his progress and track time opportunities. As seems to be the case with all highly strung equipment, we had a technical failure and then couldn't compete in the other 2 races on Sunday - that's racing ! 

We'll hopefully be better prepared for the next round at Snetteron in May. 

New livery looks the business !
