NS Engineering invests in Doosan DNM 6700 Vertical Milling Machine

Introducing our new Doosan DNM 6700 Vertical Milling Machine.

Our latest machinery addition, purchased through MillsCNC Ltd & utilizing a Collaborate grant. This £100,000.00 investment marks a significant milestone for NS Engineering Solutions.

This machine will help us in the following areas;

Machining Efficiency/Utilisation – Before the new Doosan DNM 6700 was introduced we had 3 machines programmed by the milling leader & set / operated by one employee per shift. Now we have 4 machines in the cell set / operated by two employees per shift along with the programmer.  Efficiency & utilisation has increased by 25%.

On-time delivery – Due to the increased capacity we are delivering more order lines on-time.  This KPI will be monitored going forward but on-time delivery for our customers helps secure repeat business.

Value Adding– The new machine also means more components & the right components will be machined on newer more suitable machinery.

Flexibility – We are now able to respond to our ever changing Customer needs in all scenarios especially fast turnaround requirements.
