Older Borrowers - No problem
Many people think that being over 65 or borrowing into later years isn't possible. However with the Financial Conduct Authority relaxing it's stance more and more lenders are open to mortgages to older borrowers many of whom have substantial equity tied up in their property. Most will also lend on interest only if it is required. The acronym for lending into retirement is RIOs ( Retirement Interest Only)
We have just remortgaged a 78 year old man and his wife who have income but are low on capital to clear some outstanding credit This reduces their monthly outgoings dramatically.
