Schools - know what Ofsted and the Department for Education requires
Every school should have a website - its the first port of call for parents and other stakeholders when trying to find out about the school.
Often parents will want to read news and letter information whilst at the school gates, or waiting in the car - so a responsive website that works on smartphones and tablets is also imperative.
Of course - the website should be easy to update for admin staff - to ensure the latest information is easily and quickly added to the website.
Peter Bourne Communications offer websites to schools that meet all these criteria... and more.
Of course, Ofsted and the Department for Education specify that certain information is published on a school's website as well. To find out exactly what you should publish on your school website we have created a quick summary checklist.
All school should check their website against this list. Remember the school website will be the first port of call for HMI - probably even before they pick up the phone to book themselves in! Get your website Ofsted-ready.
